Privacy Policy

This page explains how Professional School of Psychology handles the information you share when you use our website. Protecting your privacy matters to us. If we ever ask you to supply details that identify you, we will only put that information to use in the ways described here. We may revise this statement occasionally by editing this page, so it is a good idea to look it over now and then. These terms took effect on March 7, 2009.

The information we collect is limited to what you provide through customer surveys or offers. We use it to get a clearer sense of what you need and to serve you better. In practice that means improving our products and services, and occasionally emailing you about new offerings, special deals, or other news we expect you might want, sent to the address you gave us. Now and then we may reach out for market research, whether by email, phone, fax, or regular mail, and we may adjust what the site presents based on your interests.

Keeping your information safe is a priority. To guard against anyone accessing or revealing it without authorization, we maintain physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards around everything we gather online.

A cookie is a small file that asks to sit on your computer's hard drive. Once you allow it, the file goes on and helps us study web traffic or recognize your return to a given page. Cookies let a web application treat you as an individual, shaping how it behaves around your preferences by remembering what you tend to like and dislike. We rely on traffic log cookies to see which pages get visited, which guides how we read our traffic numbers and refine the site around what visitors actually want. That data goes toward statistical analysis only, and afterward it is cleared from the system.

The point of all this is a better site, one where we can tell apart the pages people lean on from the ones they ignore. A cookie does not open up your computer or hand us anything about you beyond what you decide to share. You are free to accept them or turn them away. Browsers tend to accept cookies on their own, though you can usually change a setting to refuse them if that suits you. Doing so may keep you from using every part of the site.

This site is not legally open to anyone under 18, or to anyone otherwise covered by the Child Online Privacy Act of 1998 (COPA). If you are under 18, please leave now. Using the site fraudulently can expose you to civil or criminal penalties.

You may find links here that make it simple to reach other sites worth a look. Once a link carries you away from us, though, keep in mind that we have no say over what happens on that other site. We cannot answer for how your information is protected or kept private there, and this statement no longer applies. Read the privacy terms posted on whatever site you land on, and tread carefully.

Your personal information will not be sold, handed off, or leased to outside parties unless you have given permission or the law requires it. If you tell us you would like to hear about third parties we think could interest you, we may use your details to pass along that kind of promotional material.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you can ask for a record of the personal information we keep about you; a modest fee applies. To request a copy, send an email to mail[@]profonalschoolpsychology.com. If you think anything we hold about you is wrong or missing, write or email us at that address as soon as you can, and we will set the record straight without delay.

For questions, comments, or to report an incident, reach us at Mail[@]profonalschoolpsychology.com.

Treat this policy as something that keeps changing. Do not assume it stays fixed, and by using the site you agree to review it on each visit. You will not be told when it changes, and the site makes no promise to tell you, with one exception: if, in the site's own judgment, a change is severe enough to warrant it, a notice may appear on the site or arrive by email. Every time you keep using the site, that counts as your acceptance of these terms and any changes to them. Last updated March 7, 2009.
